Located in McMinnville, Tennessee, non-profit "Zion Horses" currently stands on nine fenced acres with a seven stall barn. Safely off of the road, our resident horses are in four pastures that have access to shade, water, and plenty of grass. With over eighteen years of horse experience, our on-site barn owner and manager would be happy to help.
In summer, horses can enjoy most of their time outdoors after morning turn-out, giving us plenty of time clean up their stalls, throw hay and fill water buckets.
During the winter, all horses - in and out - have free choice hay and heated troughs. During this time we blanket horses and pay close attention to everyone's hooves for ice build-up. While it may look cute to see horses slip and slide like Bambi, the safety of our residents is a high priority, along with watching their weight to make sure we are keeping them on a healthy diet to get through the cold months.
Due to our size, we do not openly advertise that we rescue horses as we cannot accept every horse that is reported to us. However, if you think you have a found horse in need of emergency help, or you would like to donate to help our current rescues, please either contact Caitlin, or visit our donation page! We are licensed as a non-profit, so you can rest assured that we do not use any donations for anything other than helping incoming horses.
We're really glad you checked us out! If you're interested, please check out our other pages, "Like" our Facebook page, or contact us anytime!
